What is the HELIOS platform?

HELIOS by VirtualHealth is the first platform purpose-built to address whole-person care and value-based models. HELIOS offers an integrated, user-friendly, and ground-breaking approach to all facets of care coordination/management, disease management, utilization management, and population health management.

What certifications or pre-validations does HELIOS have?

The HELIOS platform is HIPAA and HITECH compliant, NCQA Prevalidated for Population Health Management, and HITRUST CSF certified for care, disease, utilization management, and population health management.

HELIOS meets or exceeds all applicable regulatory requirements and empowers users to have the medical management data necessary for CMS reporting and audits, as well as NCQA, and other external and internal needs.

How secure is HELIOS?

To support this, HELIOS is HITRUST certified and is audited, updated, and optimized throughout the year. This ensures the platform continually meets and exceeds your needs, as well as the requirements of federal and state regulatory bodies.

What kinds of users and organization types does VirtualHealth HELIOS work with?

VirtualHealth is proud to serve organizations and payers including Medicare Advantage plans, Medicaid plans, LTSS populations, individual and employer healthcare plans, health systems, accountable care organizations, and home health organizations.

HELIOS works best for the following users and organization types: enterprise, mid-size businesses, small businesses, nonprofits, and government.

What languages does HELIOS support?

HELIOS supports multi-language correspondence and is currently leveraged by clients to send correspondences in multiple languages, including those that do not leverage a Latin-based alphabet. Letters can be printed in multiple languages, including but not limited to Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Filipino, French, German, Gujarati, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Lao, Pashto, Russian, Urdu, and Vietnamese, among others. The HELIOS platform also supports right-to-left languages, such as Farsi or Hebrew.

Does HELIOS have a mobile app?

Yes. HELIOSgo brings a mobile app version of the HELIOS platform for in-the-field and on-the-go care management and coordination. HELIOSgo is available as a mobile app for Android, iPad, and iPhone. Designed to make care management, data capture, and member assessment in the field easier and faster, HELIOSgo:

  • Works on smartphone or tablet devices
  • Included HELIOS features: 360-degree patient views, Tasks, Assessments and Screening Tools, Case Notes, Care Plans, and Medications
  • Access, fill in, save, and submit assessments and screeners
  • Draft and save case notes from mobile devices
  • Add and resolve tasks, and mark changes to care plans or medications
  • Specifically tailored to support LTSS, home health and behavioral health needs

What kind of training does VirtualHealth HELIOS provide?

We are proud to offer our clients dedicated and tailored in-person and virtual training sessions with our team of experts. We provide training in the form of documentation, live online, webinars, and in-person/on-site.

All virtual training sessions are recorded and saved in a personal client portal to be accessible for ongoing learning and instruction during the initial onboarding phase, as well as to help simplify the introduction of new users from the client’s side over time.

Training is included with purchase and additional fee/premium options are also available.

What type of support does VirtualHealth HELIOS provide?

We pride ourselves on offering dedicated support and customer service to our clients. When partnering with VirtualHealth, we believe in a connected partnership approach that’s always on. Our client success and service teams are always available to help answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and provide support, guidance, and training along the way.

How much does HELIOS cost?

We offer various pricing models and configurations of HELIOS to help you find the model that’s the right fit for your organization’s care management, population health and utilization management needs.
The HELIOS care management platform is available in Essentials, Premium, and Enterprise levels. Other HELIOS solutions including HELIOSum, HELIOSvisit, HELIOSgo, and HELIOStext may be included or available for purchase as an add-on depending on the platform pricing level selected.

Does HELIOS support telehealth technologies?

Part of what HELIOS clients love about the platform is that it has its own built-in telehealth technologies that can help you to better connect, communicate, and engage members.

HELIOSvisit – Telehealth Solution – HELIOSvisit lets users launch a fully secure and HIPAA-compliant telehealth visit (video and/or audio) from within the HELIOS platform with the click of a button. Designed to help enable greater access to care and account for tech literacy challenges, members can attend a HELIOSvisit session by simply clicking a link received via email or text message. HELIOSvisit can also be used for two-way instant messaging and secure file exchange.

HELIOStext – SMS Solution – Enables convenient, secure outbound text message communication to individual members directly from HELIOS. HELIOStext helps users increase the frequency of proactive communication with members, making it easier to engage members, help them adhere to care plans, alert members to health risks, improve medication management, and identify, address, and close care gaps.

Does HELIOS support utilization management?

HELIOSum delivers cloud-based utilization management alongside care management together within the HELIOS platform. HELIOSum unifies providers, care managers, and utilization management teams in one place so everyone can access all the member information they need in just a few clicks.
